We want the Incentive experience to be smooth, beautiful and frictionless.
In the old days, users were forced to adapt to the software instead of the other way around. Sadly, this is very common still.
Social Collaboration tools must follow the same behavioral pattern that humans do, in order to become successful. To this extent, much focus has been given the graphical user interface througout Incentive.
Own your own data
Sometimes people ask us why Incentive is not a Software-as-a-Service product in the cloud.
The simple answer to that is that we want you to own your own data. We have no business with your data.
If we some time in the future decide that we want to do something else with our lives, you shouldn’t suffer. What you’ve bought is yours, and no matter what we will do in the future – even though we will do this for many years – we want you to be sure that you own your stuff completely independent of us.
Incentive is a server software
This means that you can’t just download it and install on your computer. Rather you need to take it to your IT-manager and he or she will then set it up for you in your own IT-environment, within your own walls (which include the firewall).

The reason we do it this way is that we want your IT-people to be happy from the beginning.
